The definition of a blocker poker term is that this is a card that blocks one player from completing a hand because it’s in the hand of another player.
The player holding the blocker card is aware of this and knows that they have the advantage.
For example, if you have pocket fours and the community board after the flop reads 3, 5, 6, you know that the likelihood of your opponent having a straight is minimal. This is simply because you hold two blocker cards out of the four total 4s in the entire deck.
