Backdoor Flush

Backdoor flush is a term referring to a scenario in which you have three of the five cards needed for a flush, and the turn and the river haven’t come up yet.
This is a term similar to runner-runner, as you need the right cards to come up on the last two turns.
For instance, let’s say you’re holding As 9s and the flop only brings one more card of the spade suit. To complete a backdoor flush, you need both the fourth street and the river to produce spades suited cards.
