Beat the Board
0 minutes
When a player manages to “beat the board” or “beat the table”, it means that they have a better hand than all other players in the game.
In community card poker games, it could also refer to making a hand of a higher rank than that made up from the five community cards on their own.
For example, the board shows 5, 9, 10, Q, and A, all in the same suit, making a flush. One player has a king of the same suit in their hand, meaning that they beat the board with an even higher flush.
