Big Dog

Despite sounding flattering, the Big Dog poker term actually refers to a player who is the underdog in a specific situation.
In other words, it’s used for a person who has very little to no winning chances.
Additionally, many players use this term to address a hand with no pair, no straight, and no flush in which the lowest card is the nine and the highest card is an ace.
In the poker hand rankings system, it’s just below Little Cat and above Little Dog.
