Bluff Catcher
0 minutes
A bluff catcher is a hand that can beat the opponent’s bluffing hand but is not strong enough to beat any of the value hands.
In other words, this is often an ace or king-high or a small pair that can beat the bluffing player simply because they don’t have a valuable poker hand.
For example, you have a Q,6 and the board reads 9, Q, Q, K, A, with three cards in the same suit. In this case, your hand is good enough to win against a bluffing player, but not against any hands that would actually bet for value.
