Entry Fee

A poker entry fee is the amount of money you have to pay to participate in a poker tournament.
Every poker tournament, unless it’s a freeroll one, has an entry fee, which can range from anywhere around a dollar up to several thousand dollars.
The cost of playing a particular tournament with an entry fee is always calculated as a total of the buy-in and the entry fee.
For example, if you’re playing in a $50 No-Limit Texas Hold’em tournament that is billed as $50+$5, you need to pay a total of $55. The $50 goes directly into the prize pool, while the $5 goes to the game organizer or online platform.
