The poker term “to Hollywood” is often used to refer to when a player is intentionally being deceptive and is talking up their poker hand in an effort to trick their opponents into thinking that they have a strong hand, when in fact, they’re weak.
The Hollywooding player is doing so to encourage their opponent to make a specific decision that would go their way.
For example, someone might say: “If this player starts Holywooding, try not to pay them much attention.”
