Nuts
0 minutes
The nuts poker term refers to the best possible poker hand in a given situation. This is a hand no other hand can beat. The “nuts” heavily depends on the circumstances, the community cards, and the players’ individual cards.
The nuts is followed by the second most valuable hand as the second-nut hand, then the third-nut hand, and so on.
It’s important to remember that the nuts can and will change throughout the round as the cards unfold on each new street.
For example, if the flop produces a 4, 5, and 8, the player that has a 6, 7 has the nuts. But, if the turn produces a 6, then the player with 7, 9 has the nuts, as that’s the best possible hand in the given scenario.
