Pigeon
0 minutes
A pigeon is a poker player who is seen as bad or inexperienced by other players at the table. Experienced players use it to refer to a player when they miss out on obvious opportunities or make decisions that counter poker fundamentals.
This poker slang is not as common nowadays. Today, you’ll mostly hear the term fish or donkey.
Let’s take a look at an example of the word pigeon in a sentence: “This pigeon doesn’t know how to play poker. He completely butchered that hand!”
If you hear someone talking like this about you, it’s a sign that you’re likely the least experienced at the table.
