Tank
0 minutes
The poker term “tank” can be used both as a verb and as a noun. In both cases, it refers to a player who’s taking too much time to make a decision on their hand.
Here are some examples of a “tank” or “tanking.” You might hear someone say: “I went all-in after the river card, only for my opponent to tank for five minutes before folding”.
Another one could be: “When he barreled the pot for the second time in a row, I tanked for a couple of minutes before calling him again.”
