Made Hand
0 minutes
A made hand is any hand that’s strong enough so that it doesn’t require any draw to be made.
The term is mostly used in the Texas Hold’em variation if a player already has a strong pair and already has a made hand even before the community cards are presented. This is the opposite of the drawing hand.
For example, you have pocket queens in your hand, so you already have a made hand. Of course, you’re always hoping to make an even better hand, as a made hand can still be a big dog. But, at least you’re holding something of value right from the start.
