The snowman poker term is a popular hand nickname for pocket eights. This is because these cards resemble a snowman made from two large snowballs.
For example, you can hear this expression when a player bets on an eight high flop and faces a big all in. They might say, “I’ll fold my pocket Tens, I think you have the Snowmen.”
