The window poker term refers to the first card the dealer reveals when they fan out the flop on the board. In stud poker, the window is the first up-card dealt to the player.
For example, you’ll often hear this term used by poker commentators, when there is an all-in with AK vs. QQ. As the dealer moves to deal the flop and an ace shows up as the first card, they might say – “there’s an ace in the window.”
